Q1. What is the problem that you are trying to solve?
Encrypted Note is necessary to store keys, certificates, security question/answer, additional password or sensible information.
But a Searchable description is also necessary to search your accounts, systems and so on, not only based on the title/name.
Additionally, having to choose one of the field (Note or description) is very confusing and incomprehensible for the users.
Q2 - Who is impacted?
All the users, for the moment we do not use Passbold as this feature is not available.
We have to choose : Security OR Searchability.
Q3 - Why is it important and/or urgent?
Until the two fields are not available for all the password entries, the Passbold solution is not used.
Q4 - What is your proposed solution? (optional)

Must have: this is critical for me to have this
Should have: this is important for me to have this
Could have: this could be nice to have
Won’t have: we should not schedule this (explain why)
Yes, there are 2 fields for a resource called “Note”. One field is for the note itself and the second one is for the description of that note. In addition, there is similar “Note” and “Description” fields for some other types of resource as well.
This could be a defect, but it is most likely a wrong configuration. We can investigate it, but I would like to ask you to create a new ticket for it. I’m not sure which client and version you are seeing this on, so in the ticket body you will answer the questions needed for the investigation. For us the default is “Security AND Searchability,” and it is now available for almost all v5 resources (v5 has been the default for a while).
This is also intended: you can convert v4 into v5 but not the other way around. After conversion you can add a searchable “Description” whenever you want. Just do not confuse “note” with “description,” as we used those names differently a few years ago. Verify it in your native language if you don’t use English in the UI as it might be wrongly translated, creating confusion.
Overall the initial request feels to be fulfilled although for some reason you can’t easy reach it.
