Share your docker compose file belongs to db connectivity?
Did you create the “passbolt” database user and passbolt user in this external database?
Did you follow the following? : https://raw.githubusercontent.com/passbolt/passbolt_docker/master/docker-compose/docker-compose-ce-postgresql.yaml
as @jeewan1981 please share your compose file to see if we can spot an issue
