For months now, I’m unable to use the Firefox extension.

It was working ok, then it one day broke and won’t work anymore.
It’s a cloud version, so I’m not able to change any server-based configs or check logs, etc.
I just tried to uninstall the extension, log in again, try recovery, and it’s failing again with:
Something went wrong!
The operation failed with the following error:
Could not verify the server key. Server internal error. Check with your administrator.

I’ve checked about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
and I see:
GET [https://cloud.passbolt.com/my-org/mfa/verify/error.json](https://cloud.passbolt.com/my-org/mfa/verify/error.json)
PassboltApiFetchError: MFA authentication is required.
Error: Attempt to postMessage on disconnected port

My Firefox version is 133 (Nightly, irrelevant, because stable isn’t working either)
Installed the latest 4.9.4 Passbolt extension.
I’ve got MFA enabled and set up for my account.

Could anyone fix this finally? Just for this single thing I always need to open Chrome to access it, where it works just fine, so I don’t think there’s a problem with the server/config.

Actually, the page data and cache deletion helped. I didn’t even try that because the last time I did it didn’t really help 🙂

So, this worked for me:

> [@Unable to login with Firefox 131+](https://community.passbolt.com/t/unable-to-login-with-firefox-131/11002):
>
> Hello, Since updating Firefox to version 131, I can’t connect to Passbolt (the extension works fine). I had Firefox dev edition in v131 and Firefox standard in v130, I could not connect on the dev edition but could on the standard. Now Firefox standard is also in v131. It’s the same problem as [Login Redirected to Login Page · Issue #203 · passbolt/passbolt\_api · GitHub](https://github.com/passbolt/passbolt_api/issues/203), I tried adding an exception but it didn’t work. In about:preferences#privacy I have the standard setting. Thanks

Glad to read that it works for you.

Wondering if something can be done to avoid this issue at the browser extension code level, would be interesting to know if it is cache or cookies relative.

If it’s cache relative, it would mean that Firefox has an issue with code provided by its own extension, there might be strategy to solve it, but that would be sad 🙂
