Passbolt Extension and MS Edge

Hi all,

Just recently some sites no longer display the floating extension shortcut in the username and password boxes.

Example….

On some sites this is missing and I have to use the browser toolbar or copy the username/password manually.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Extension version is 5.5.1 and MS Edge version is Version 140.0.3485.94 (Official build) (64-bit)

Thanks for your feedback.

In order for me to investigate, I have a few questions:

  • Could you please share the websites affected where the passbolt icon is missing ?
  • If you had to give a range would it be between 0-25 / 25-50 / 50+ percentage of websites concerned?
  • Do you encounter the same behavior with another web browser or is it tied to the website?

Hi antony, for me it’s a select few but all previously worked OK.

One example would be - Action1 - Login

Unfortunately, I can’t check other browsers as we are locked to Edge.

Action1 stopped being fillable with Passbolt on Chrome macOS too.

Hi folks.

Testing and using an action1.com account I can confirm that the extension is not present in the field and also that the action1.com domain doesn’t trigger in the browser extension (tested in Chrome) when it’s localised (for me in Australia: https://app.au.action1.com/login/)

I’ll review our tasks to find an existing issue and raise it with the front end team.

I’ll report back when I know more.

Thanks Gareth, for me the plugin knows the site and it finds the details but it’s just not visible within the password or username boxes.

G’day Lee.

Just following up to let you know this issue is being investigated PB-45723 Passbolt icon hidden in forms.
It’s still in the investigation stage but hopeful for a quick resolution.

Hi Gareth,

Just an update since the plugin update. The issue seems to be resolved for most sites but not all that I use.

I use Wazuh and on the login form doesn’t show the plugin icon in the username or password box but does on the Edge toolbar.

Not a massive issue but just thought I’d post an update.
