To a certain extent in the desktop version and definitely in the mobile version, it can be difficult to read a password on the screen. Having an option to tap or select it and make the text large font would be great.
For my group of engineers, we’ve got Passbolt working on their phones using an on-prem hosted system. They use Passbolt so we have a centralized place to look for root passwords to systems when they need to move physically to the system to do fixes or troubleshooting should their administrative crendentials not work. Also for various software vendors that we use, we store that information in Passbolt.
It can be problematic reading the passwords when we’ve got a monitor and keyboard plugged into the back of a server that’s not fully booting or has crashed and we can’t read the long secure passwords we use for root access. Or when we need to install software on systems that don’t have our Passbolt secret key on them and we’re pulling account information using our phones.
Other similar Password vaulting apps like OnePassword has a feature like this that I’ve used personally outside of work that I really liked. For instance, tapping the Eye icon to show the password, then when you tap on the password itself, you’re given the option of “Copy” or “Big Text”. Just to make it more readable.
