Hello, everyday I am having to reinstall the extension.
When I arrive to my Macbook and press the passbolt icon I get this error:
An internal error occurred. The server response could not be parsed. Please contact your administrator.
If I press “Passbolt”, it takes me to sign with google, I press my account and I get another error:
HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request
When I reinstall the app everything works fine.
Please, advice on how to solve it, it worked for a few months with no issues, nothing has changed on my side.
Could you let us know whether you’re using Passbolt Cloud or a self-hosted instance?
Since you’re signing in with Google SSO, it sounds like you’re using a paid edition. In that case, the best next step is to contact our support team at support@passbolt.com. Please include:
Whether you’re using Passbolt Cloud or self-hosted.
Your browser and browser version.
The Passbolt browser extension version.
If possible, screenshots of the two errors (“An internal error occurred…” and the “HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request” page).
If self-hosted and administrator, check for error logs on the server side, otherwise reach out to your administrator for help.
Reinstalling the extension every day is definitely not expected behavior, and our support team will be able to help investigate the root cause.
So from the info this is a self-hosted instance. You will need to find out who setup the server internally and who can access the server. In the server you can check the details of the application log (location depends on the method that was used to install) for example in /var/log
Since it’s a problem with SSO, most likely you are using the paid version, you can contact us on support@passbolt.com and we can tell you who is the contact person in your organization if you need help with that, and then further down with debugging the issue. If you are using a bootlegged version, then well, maybe it’s good to start thinking of purchasing, this is what paid support is for :).
