Q1. What is the problem that you are trying to solve?
Normal user names are trunced in the group or share edit window of the web ui. Only 9 or 10 characters are shown and if the user used an avatar perhaps less.
Our user names at the moment are only max. 15 characters in length. There a plenty of even longer names out there
In our scenario the passbolt app seems to work properly but I am not sure if the problem would also occure if we had longer user names (to be tested).
Tested with latest Passbolt CE on Win11 24H2 with latest Chrome in full size and a resolution of 3840px x 2160px at 150% windows default scaling.
Q2 - Who is impacted?
All Users
Q3 - Why is it important and/or urgent?
- Passbolt look and feel is unnecessarily impaired.
- Users with the same first name and similar last names could be choosen by mistake in the web ui.
Q4 - What is your proposed solution? (optional)
Perhaps a wider window approach in common would solve this, even if longer user names are used in the passbolt system. In my opinion there is still plenty of space on the left and right for the group/share edit window.
The best approach would be if it is technically possible to make the window size dynamic based on the data to be shown.
