Just like in Keepass? Or any icons?
Hello @felix_peer
As you will see in this topic, they are working on having icons in the resource list
This feature shipped today in v5.2.0. It’s currently in beta until at least v5.3, using encrypted metadata for additional security—already audited by Cure53 (public report coming soon). Early results are promising, and your feedback will help us refine it into a rock-solid stable release!
Thank you for this great feature, but two things in my opinion are also a must have for the roadmap.
-
Icons of any kind (Passbolt included, FavIcons etc.) should also be possible for folders or at least it should be possible to set a default icon for all new created passwords in this directory tree. A way to set a default icon would be a great feature but I understand if this is seen only mandatory.
-
But an even more important key feature is to implement a way to mass update icons for existing passwords. It would be so nasty to change every password entry one by one if you want to change your existing passwords and use this new feature or in the case you later want to change/update the icon from one to another for multiple or even hundreds of entries. That possibility would be
Thanks for the feedback!
- The icon set will expand in the future (now it’s tied to the keepass set) and it will be based on the lucide library. Favicons are more complex due to security considerations. I personally really like the idea of defining a default icon for each resource in a folder, I’ll study it and create a business case.
- I agree and bulk changes are definitely on the radar
@NF-EDV To help your ideas (default folder icons and bulk edit) gain visibility and priority, could you please create a separate feature request for each in the dedicated section?
Make sure to follow the feature request guidelines, this ensures your requests will have the more impact during roadmap planning.
I am still on vacation til 23.6. but sure, after that date I gladly open a feature request as proposed.
