Since today, we’ve been experiencing a problem installing the extension on Chrome or other browsers during remote sessions. The message displayed is “serviceWorker/serviceWorker.js.”
Have you ever encountered this type of problem?
You’re the first to report this kind of issues. Can we share the full error from the browser extension console logs? Go to chrome://extension, click on passbolt > details button, enable developer mode in top right corner, then click on inspect view > service worker.
Can you tell us which operating system and chrome version you use also?
I’m using Windows 10, Google Chrome version 137.0.7151.69 (Official Build) (64-bit). I get this message when installing the application. When I enable developer mode and try to “Load unpackaged application,” I get the following message: File
~\Downloads\didegimhafipceonhjepacocaffmoppf\5.1.1_0
Error
Unable to load background script “serviceWorker/serviceWorker.js”.
Unable to load manifest file.
I feel like I have a permissions issue on a folder, but I’m actually an administrator on the PC.
