We are migrating from Passbolt CE to the Business Edition. I understand that in CE, a user can only export passwords they own or that are shared with them. Since not all users have access to every password, how can we export all passwords in the system for migration?
Is there an official method, script, or support service provided by Passbolt to consolidate and export all passwords (beyond what individual users can access), so that we can import them cleanly into the Business Edition?
Hello, since you are using our Pro edition you can contact our support team (support@passbolt.com) who can guide you through all the process and clear all your doubts.
I don’t think it’s possible to export all passwords from the system, as they are encrypted with each user’s private key, so only one user can export their passwords.
In the case of businesses, I assume you’re referring to the cloud version and not the self-hosted PRO version. If I’m not mistaken, you can contact the team via the email @ishan provided and request an import of the database backup or another solution they can offer (on the self-hosted PRO version, providing the same database credentials to the new system would be enough, or you can even create a new database and import the backup).
