On Windows 11 and I can’t copy secrets to the clipboard

Title: Unable to copy secrets from Passbolt Desktop App on Windows 11

Description:
I’m using the Passbolt desktop app on Windows 11 and I can’t copy secrets to the clipboard anymore.
This feature was working before, but recently it stopped working without any changes on my side.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Passbolt desktop app (Windows 11).

  2. Try to copy a secret (e.g., password or note).

  3. Nothing is copied to the clipboard.

Expected behavior:
The secret should be copied to the clipboard so it can be pasted into other applications.

Actual behavior:
Nothing gets copied. Clipboard remains unchanged.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 11 (up to date)

  • App: Passbolt Desktop (please specify version if you have it)

  • Antivirus: Windows Defender (enabled by default)

Additional notes:

  • This was working before on the same machine.

  • I already tried disabling Windows Defender temporarily → no effect.

  • Clipboard works fine with other applications, the problem is only with Passbolt.

Hello @Antonio-Kemok , we’re aware of the issue and we’ll be publishing a fix shortly.

Hello @Antonio-Kemok,

Could you confirm which version of the desktop application you’re running?

To follow up on Remy’s post: version 2.3.1, published on the Microsoft Store on Friday, fixes the original issue but introduces a new one that can make the application unusable after you copy a password. You will still be able to access your secret, but you’ll need to restart the app afterward.

A fix for this second issue is in the works and should be available by Wednesday.
