Passbolt & db blocking each other

Q1. What is the problem that you are trying to solve?
Passbolt is offline for half an hour.

My table directory_reports_items is 12GB with ~ 500000 Entries. This makes 95% of the entire Database. I dont know why this is.

Q2 - Who is impacted?
Every one with LDAP Sync.

Q3 - Why is it important and/or urgent?
Db Backups tooks minutes, in a daily basis they lock each other. For example
we are using a central database. Backups took place between 4 - 5. But the Backup waits for table locks. Sometimes it will need to wait to 8 o’clock. Passbolt seems to be constantly doing work but no one is using from 4 to 5. So Passbolt seems do do something by his own.

Q4 - What is your proposed solution? (optional)

implement something like directory_reports_items_purge.
implement something like a maintanace mode.

Hello @txt, thanks for the feedback and sharing your needs.

Indeed, we are aware of this inconvenience, we have an internal ticket for this (ref. PB-21404) that will be investigated the next sprint. In the meantime, you can safely truncate directory_reports_items and directory_reports as they are mainly used for audit purposes.

I’ll let keep you informed.
