Password change on server from phone

Hello there!
I newly installed Passbolt CE on my Ubuntu 24.04.1 Server and I have a function question.
Question: I want to connect a phone with my account and sync my passwords. Now if I leave the network and change one off my passwords on the phone, does this automaticly update the password stored on the server, when I connect to the network where my server is?
best wishes, a new user

Hello @Chrisz
Welcome to the forum

Just to confirm, here you’d like to confirm that when you connected your mobile phone using our mobile application, updating a password will also be applied on the browser extension? If so, yes totally. Same goes for create and delete.

Obviously the mobile phone has to be able to reach the server even though you are not inside your “work network”

Hello @antony ,

yes, nearly. -Sorry if this question may be is obviously- is the phone connected to the passbolt server just if the phone has an online connection? Or does my server have to have an SSL certificate for this function? Currently the certificate is not planned, because I only use passbolt in my own network.

Do I have to be within the network (or connected via VPN) where the server is, that the changes witch I made on the phone effect the passwords stored on the server?
