Using Passbolt mainly in a team setting, we organise everything neatly into folders. When using the mobile app, I want the folder view to be the default one when browsing, as it best reflects the structure we have set up in the web browser client, and makes reaching a certain folder or record logical and quick.
When searching however, you probably wouldn’t want the search results to be filtered by default, as the point of searching is to narrow down your results enough from the start. Only with very large databases would you probably require further filtering.
I must admit I’ve spent way too long time thinking this was a bug, as I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why I wasn’t getting a certain record when searching, but a bunch of other, only to realise that the search phrase I used was present in a folder name, and it showed me all the content under that folder also, but not the record I was after as it lived in another folder.
