Signing in to Passbolt on Second Browser Generates Recovery Process

When I try to sign in to my Passbolt account on a second browser I get an email to start the account recovery process. My expectation is I would get some email to verify my approval for the second browser sign in

Example:
Initial sign in is to the Passbolt Edge Extension
Issue happens when I try to sign in to the Chrome Passbolt extension, it generates an account recovery email, not sure if this is normal or the system thinks I lost my access to my account

It is expected and it is the normal behavior. When you setup your passbolt extension, it stores your private key, as known also as recovery kit.

When you install passbolt extension on another browser or computer, this extension doesn’t have your private key configured, that’s why it triggers the recovery process.

Without the private key, or if you loose it, you won’t be able to decrypt any of your passwords.

At the first setup of your account, the extension asked you to save your recovery kit in a safe place. If you didn’t, here is a documentation about how to download it: How to Download the Account Recovery Kit | Passbolt documentation.
