Unable to update password after migrating/ upgrading (stop at synchronizing keying)

Hi

I have migrated my old passbolt server as follow,
Ubuntu 20.04 >> 24.04(New server)
Passbolt CE edition : 3.2.1 >> 4.9.1

by following Migrate to a new Ubuntu Server | Passbolt documentation..

migration process was completed smoothly, Now 2 of my users are not able to preform their usual task.

  1. not able to share password even after creating new account with same email id
  2. not able to update password. even for newly created password.

For both users, process stop at synchronizing keying step.

Please help on this :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey @roshanitsgh, did you had any issues in any of the steps while migration? Or any steps that you had to do differently? The last step (Step 7. Test passbolt) after the migration to run healthcheck command should be all green, so if you can check & share the output here.

Also, can you share what error message you are getting (any screenshot, etc. would be helpful)?

Thank you for responding to my issue,

i didn’t found any issue during the process, I actually did 2 to 3 testing with realtime copy before executing it . yes i took images at the same time as proof. I’ll share it with you.

Hi again,

Health check as follow,

  1. Environment: all green
  2. Config files: all green
  3. Core config: all green
  4. SSL Certificate: Having following Warrings,

SSL peer certificate does not validate.
Hostname does not match when validating certificates.

  1. Database: all green
  2. GPG Configuration: all green
  3. Application configuration: There are some blue and cream color info messages, all other green.
  4. SMTP Settings: all green except (The SMTP Settings plugin endpoints are enabled
    )

Hey @roshanitsgh, this is weird issue. Is it fixed or facing same issue?

For now, I’ve created a task (for internal reference PB-36618) to investigate the problem.

Yes, still having this issue, but once I remove the entry from Ignore List, It’s working.
