I want to be able to select multiple entries and tag all in one action instead of opening each entries and editing them individually.

This is discouraging to open each entry to apply a tag. It will improve productivity and be more user friendly.
Q4 - What is your proposed solution? (optional)
- The same functionality than sharing multiple entries. When a user selects multiple entries and click “manage tags” action, a dialog is shown where the user can see tags that are present on all or some of the entries. When a tag is not present everywhere it is marked as “varying”. People can add / remove or leave tags as they are.
- A user is allowed to drag multiple entry in the main panel and drop them on a tag in the left panel.
