Passbolt.php is empty

I just completed my installation on digitalocean and installed SSL for my doman.

I used the command to access the passbolt.php file to edit “fullBaseUrl”.
sudo nano /etc/passbolt/passbolt.php

However, the file was empty.

Anyone knows the reason behind this and how I can go about fixing this?

Hello @adamteow,

When you say that you completed your installation on digitalocean, what part did you complete exactly ? Could you please describe the steps you followed and also the link to the documentation you used ?

Cheers,
Gérold.

I completed step 1.2. Setup HTTPS (optional, but highly recommended):

The only part I could’t complete is the last part of this step:

Finally, ensure ‘fullBaseUrl’ value in /etc/passbolt/passbolt.php starts with https://.

Hey @adamteow it looks like we need to update that page to be more clear!

You’ll actually want to finish the regular installation steps and then do the HTTPS in this case. Finishing the installation will populate the /etc/passbolt/passbolt.php file.

As the warning says on the page for configuring HTTPS you’ll need to make sure to have your recovery kit(and any other users will need theirs, but since it is initial install I am guessing it is only you) to log in once it is changed over to HTTPS.
