Remember passphrase in the iOS application

Q1. What is the problem that you are trying to solve?
Each time I bring passbolt iOS application from the list of opened applications It prompts for my passphrase. It can by annoying:

  1. I open passbolt application, enter my passphrase and copy ip address from my secret note.
  2. I tap the home button and open other application.
  3. I paste the ip addres.
  4. I double tap home button to bring the passbolt application and it prompts for my passphrase.
  5. I enter the passphrase, copy another piece of information…

and so on …

All iOS application’s users. I don’t know about the android

Usability improvement

Q4 - What is your proposed solution? (optional)
Maybe a siple checkbox to force the application to remember my passphrase for certain amount of time?

Instead of Passphrase maybe TouchID or FaceID as an alternative?

I was unaware of this limitation. The Android version allows for use of the fingerprint sensor.

The iOS Passbolt app can be opened with Face ID

I use Face ID on iOS to unlock the Passbolt app and it works perfectly :grinning:

Settings —> Passbolt —> turn on Face ID
